Lumina | A World on the edge of light

Two earth-bound children, brother and sister, Kite and Miriam have been chosen to become carriers of the Fej Farok, a powerful parasite capable of traveling through parallel universes.

One day they are captured by strange Black Creatures and their destinies part ways. Now Kite, who is the younger of the two, must undertake a dangerous journey in search of his sister through a new and hostile world, a dazzling planet that its inhabitants call Lumina.

Lumina is a project midway between Sci-Fi and Fantasy. The project tells the story of the journey and growing up of Kite and Miriam through an imaginative evolution of amazing environments. Fraternal love, ecology and respect for all living things are the backbone themes of this story.

Kite & Miriam

Lumina | The Characters

Kite is 14 years old. He's a reckless, lively young boy who loves Parkour. His juvenility leads him too often in serious trouble. His impulsive nature is however balanced by his pure heart and a strong sense of altruism. He adores his sister Miriam.

Miriam is an introverted and calm girl but often alternates a very determined, strong and at times angry will. This is maybe due to the fact that she and Kite lost their parents in a tragic accident and she now feels that she's got a heavy responsibility on her shoulders. She's the one who has to hold off her brother's exuberance, protect him and keep him out of trouble. She's in high school and has pretty good grades. To be "good" is very important to her, maybe a little too much, in the constant persuing of other people's approvals and trying to appease the uncertainty given by his deep sense of loneliness.

Juba is a very competitive and grumpy blonde-haired girl. She's very determined and aims to become the strongest warrior on planet Lumina. This desire of constantly getting better has almost become an obsession for her. Her past is a mystery and has a bunch of friends who aren't really the best company, but her defying look hides a brave and honest soul.

Nohea is a high rank member of the "abysmals" and proudly bears the features and the great powers of his race. He is haughty, ambitious, cold, relentless and masters the Kyairning, the fifth magical element of the planet Lumina. He knows many secret rituals and can see beyond the reality that appears to the human eye. He got to know things he shouldn't have, and as a consequence of that he left his tribe. Alone against the world, he will join Kite's path and share his adventurous journey.

Shani is a young herbalist of the tribe of Lumina. She's got caramel-colored skin and a sunny and "spakling" personality, she's always full of energy and as curious as a cat. She often lets her instinct to guide his actions, but she changes her mind every two minutes. She's absolutely sincere. She loves her Fruff.

A real WARRIOR. He was practically born in the arena, her mother was a "headblunter" and his father was a barbar. Oleg's got an infinite list of victories on the field, and his as strong as good-hearted. He's not really the first of the class, but he's surely one of the most nice, trustworthy guy on the planet.

Fruff is... Simply a Fruff!

Lu Ay

There's something misterious about Lu'ay. Nobody knows who he is nor where he comes from and, most importantly, nobody knows what this small clever-eyed Absymal's plans are. The fisher's mother's people have a strong faith in him and so does the Queen herself: he's with no doubt going to be of central importance on Lumina.

Cold, charming and cynical, Voin is both a great strategist and a great, almost invincible warrior. He could brand any blade with ease and precision, just as a calligraph uses his brush, But most of all, he's the General of the army of the Black Shadows. He's a legend.
